Prefer Practice by Topic?
Full papers are best for timing and exam technique. For one weak topic at a time, use the IGCSE topic-wise resources or the resource search. Other boards and qualifications are on the full list of past papers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which Cambridge IGCSE Chemistry past papers are here?
Syllabus 0620 papers from the February/March, May/June and October/November series of 2018 to 2026 that are in the collection, with question papers and mark schemes for Papers 1 to 6, plus examiner reports, grade thresholds and Paper 5 confidential instructions where available.
What are Papers 1 to 6?
As printed on the papers: Paper 1 is Multiple Choice (Core), Paper 2 is Multiple Choice (Extended), Paper 3 is Theory (Core), Paper 4 is Theory (Extended), Paper 5 is the Practical Test and Paper 6 is Alternative to Practical. Core students sit Papers 1, 3 and either 5 or 6; Extended students sit Papers 2, 4 and either 5 or 6.
What is the difference between Core and Extended?
Core papers are aimed at grades C to G and Extended papers at grades A* to G, so an Extended student should practise Papers 2 and 4. Check which tier your school has entered you for before choosing papers.
What does the variant number mean, such as 0620/42 and 0620/43?
Many series have two or three versions of the same paper (variants), shown by the last digit of the code. They test the same syllabus; which one a student sits depends on the exam centre, so practising several is useful.
Why are February/March series so small?
The February/March series is a smaller session that only offers the 2 variants of each paper, so it has fewer papers than May/June and October/November.
Are the 2026 papers here?
Yes, as far as they are published. May/June 2026 has every question paper and mark scheme, plus the Paper 5 confidential instructions, grade thresholds and the examiner report. February/March 2026 has the question papers, the Paper 5 confidential instructions and the examiner report; its mark schemes will be added when they are available. October/November 2026 will be added after that series.
Why is there a short wait before a paper opens?
Papers are free to use. The short countdown before each file opens helps keep the site running while the files load.
